We took a day trip today to the monastery at Montserrat about an hour from the center of Barcelona. Andrew and I had been there before with Ruth, but she wanted to show her boyfriend Simon this amazing place. The monastery is set into some unusually shaped mountains, and there are wonderful hiking trails to explore the hilltops with breathtaking views. I’d really recommend this as a must-see when you come to Barcelona!
