July 1 marks the turnover of the fiscal year here at Microsoft, and I always find it to be a bit like the proverbial "turning over a new leaf" – both professionally and personally. My role this year will have a much deeper focus on the IT Pro technical audience and I am quite excited about that. We have a great national team of IT Pro evangelists who present technical seminars, blog and "tweet" about the latest Microsoft technologies, support IT professionals in their geographic areas through work with user groups, and on and on. There are tons of cool new products launching this year and I will be supporting the efforts of these technical powerhouses in getting the word out and educating their audience.
I have also made a commitment to work more closely with a wonderful non-profit organization in the Seattle area – the Mona Foundation (www.monafoundation.org) and will dedicate some of my time to organizing their annual fundraising event happening in the Fall. More on that later as plans develop.
