The applications Microsoft brainiacs come up with on a regular basis never cease to amaze me. The latest is form Microsoft Research – still in Beta – but mind-blowing nonetheless. If you have ever dreamed of being an astronomer or astronaut, the WorldWide Telescope is for you. See the planets and stars through the eyes of the Hubble telescope, fly from black holes to nebulae, it’s beautiful. If you have kids, get them hooked, too. You do have to download the application, and it’s fairly large, but well worth the hard drive space.
